Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a CR 220 that needs to be repaired and have the removal keys from Becker. Anything to the radio removal other than just yanking it out? Just want to make sure I don't break anything.

POST 2Original post

That's it. Put the keys in and pull. I guess if the keys were not properly seated you could theoretically do some damage by pulling hard but it's pretty obvious.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, dumb question. How do I get the keys out of the radio once it's been removed from the car?

POST 4Original post

There is a release by each key on the side of the radio

That's what I thought they were for, but for some reason I can't get them to let go. What am I missing?

POST 6Original post

I don't have my spare radio in front of me but IIRC you can see where the key engages and the catch on the chassis of the radio just depresses to allow you to release the key from the lock.

POST 7Original post

Yes, there are tabs on the side that need to be depressed to remove the keys.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not sure what was happening, but after jiggling stuff around I finally got the key releases to release as they should. They were stuck for some reason. Thanks for the replies.
