I've always driven a manual but never had a car long enough to ever have to have a clutch replaced or even go out on me. No check engine lights, nothing. Would this be an example of "the clutch is slipping"? If so I guess its time to get that fixed so the throw out bearing, RMS, and IMS can get done. Was gonna do it anyway but I guess sooner rather than later...

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

your clutch is dead...stop driving till fixed...everything you described is NORMAL for a clutch when its done.....does your Indy do IMS replacements....if not where are you from, someone will make a recommendation
Car shifts fine.. Guess its just me and paranoia about the i*s... will do preventative measures to ease the stree...
Porsche clutches are known for going from "fine" to "spent" in less than a day...when its thier time..... although there are indicators of the level of amount "left" based on clutch pedal height. Once done, they go FAST! time for some lovin' at the shop....dont worry, its a good thing.....now you know where its at

If the throwout bearing was indeed out and your mechanic told you to continue to drive the car you need to find a new mechanic. By continuing to drive the car and with the clutch now slipping pretty badly you might have damaged (oveheated) the dual mass flywheel and if so added close to another $1000 the cost of the 'clutch job'. Sincerely, Macster.
As Macster said, you need a new mechanic.
Clutch replacement at 56k isn't terribly soon...probably about average life. I would bet that's what it is. Do not drive with a slipping clutch or it could leave you stranded. As others' mentioned, may want to do IMS and RMS while your in there (if it hasn't already been done) as it will give you piece of mind . I had my air/oil separator done also.
