Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi all, yesterday i saw a red flashing light on my dashboard....... never seen that before.... any help.. i think it has to do with my central locking or my alarm-immobilizer... my car is a 996 C2 01 it hasn't been there before, and have in mind that i own the car for 1 year now.... any help or advice...

POST 2Original post

where was it flashing, on the gauge cluster or was the lock/unlock button is?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i am talking about that smal item polaced on the top of the dashboard, close at the point where the windscreen meets the interior of the car. thios small item has a small antenna probably on the top and devides the air vent in 2. actually it seems like there are 4 tiny LED's flashing periodically 2 times every sec.

POST 5Original post

thats to show you the alarm is armed. it should beep every 2-4 seconds when the car is locked. don't be 'alarmed' its not going to blow up

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the thing is that i own the car for a year now and i think that this dd not happened be4.... am i sooooo blind?
