Hello Group,
I want to put the GT3 Seats into my E46 M3. I am basically looking for something more supportive than stock, but that looks good. The GT3 seats fit the bill perfectly, unfortunately, I can't really tell if they are going to fit me. I am 6' 0" 225lbs. I tried out the std. Recaro SPG. It's too tight for me. The XL fits me with room to spare (not that much though). I am afraid of purchasing the seats and then realizing that they are actually too small.
Does anyone in the greater boston area have a car with these installed? If so, I'd love to meet up with you to try them out, I'll even buy you lunch. Shoot me an email

Yeah it does, except that after searching the archives high and low, there is some debate about weather the Pole Position is wider or narrower than the GT3. Although everyone agrees that the GT3 is wider than SPG and narrower than SPG XL. Which does narrow it down. I found the Pole Positions to fit OK, I didn't have a problem so much with the width as just that they weren't comfortable like the SPG XL.
It's funny, I tried calling around to see if any dealers around here had them, they didn't even know what I was talking about. Theyre like 'well we have some gt3s on the show room floor, you could try out those seats' i'm like, 'I'm looking for the ones that they get in the rest of the world, the elephant ear ones' . That was met by a laugh and a ' what?!"
