Or do you also think it's slightly cool when you happen to look at the clock at exactly 9:11?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Funny, you seem to have thought of the Pcar, my first reaction was the NY World Trade Center.
I always say, "look what time it is".......guess I'm a dork too.......

Yes, to the first part! Just kidding! To be honest I can recall seeing 9:11 on the P-car clock only once in almost three years of ownership. No, I don't think you are a dork. It is cool when you see 9:11 on the clock.... any clock.
LOL it happens to me a lot On the cable box, in the car, and last night I was in a grocery store and the total at the cashiers was $9.11 I couldn't help but laugh

Maybe I'm the odd one, but I don't refer to my car as a 911. I always call it a 996. When people ask what kind of car I have, I almost always say 996. Then they say what is that. And I have to clarify. -td

Yep, you're a dork.
I have to admit to doing exactly what you've described. Only my wife has the nerve to tell me I'm a dork (which I depend on her to do). Does anyone wonder what happens after the 999 has been introduced? I'll bet somebody on this list already knows the official answer.

Most people I know (non car enthusiasts of course) have really no idea what a 996 is. I usually say I drive a small German car.
I'll see your dorkitude and raise you one: One of my favourite radio stations in Toronto is JazzFM, which is at 91.1. I generally don't head to the office until after rush hour has calmed down, so I will routinely look down at my dash and see 9:11 on the clock and 91.1 on the radio. And be amused by this.
Don't know if you are, but I love the thread title!
I am also guilty, as recently as today... For me it was always 9:11 or 9:44 since I used to have one of those a while back - glad I am not the only one!

...and THEN they call you a dork. I only refer to my 996 as "the German one" to the few people that even know I own it and only to differentiate it from one of "the Japanese ones" I also own. Between people calling my Miata gay and cow-orkers worrying about what I make when they know I have a Porsche (boss drives a Gran Prix...), it's my little secret.

Yea, a bit on the dork side. I think, crap I'm way late.
I'm a dork too! It happens all the time, 9-1-1- pops up, clocks, scoreboards, cash registers, timers, everywhere.

Porsche calls it a 911, so I do, too, with 'civilians'. To me, the series number is something only dorks like us care about.
9:11 I have never thought of that. Perhaps because the original 911 was so many years ago and ever since 964 iteration, I have always thought about them by Porsche job numbers. I hate the number confusion with the name of the car so I call mine the green car or the carrera.
My first thought whenver I see 9:11 or 9:44 - "It's time to buy a Porsche." My wife can tell you I have said it out loud hundreds of times.
King dork here...I've had this reaction to seeing this time on the clock since I was about 12...no joke...same thing at 9:12, 9:14, 9:24, 9:44. I can't help but point it out to my wife when I happen to glance at the time and it shows one of these magical (at least to me) numbers. Off the topic a bit, but as long as we are talking about realizing how dorky we are, I had another such moment today, as I glanced at my reflection in the elevator heading to a court hearing, and noticed no less than two pens and two highlighers in my shirt pocket. Although it looked ridicuolous, I quickly realized I didn't care, and justified overloading my pocket with pens by convincing myself I was in fact only being prudent (you know, just in case 3 of the four dried up at the same time). Yes, I'm a dork.

I asked this question about a year ago and don't remember getting a satisfactory answer...
I saw 9:11 day before yesterday and when ever i do I know its good luck for me and i'm always happy to be getting to or in my car that says 911 on the lid
Quotes source post: 5026461
If my clock read 9:96 I'd be confused.

4:20 is also pretty fun
