Hi all, Had an awesome day and thought I'd share. My 996 turned over 109000 miles today on a 800+ mile roundtrip that me and my eldest daughter took today. We left early This morning and had a great day. Mostly freeway driving with about 50 miles of twisty bits thrown in. I averaged 28 mpg over the day driving five to ten miles over the posted speed limit, whatever it was, usually on cruise with wide open pulls through the first four gears on freeway onramps whenever we got back on the road after a pit stop. Amazing sound with the top down!!!!!!! btw. Just now got home and my daughter after spending the last 15 hours with me exclaimed that this car really does rock. She drives a pristine '84 928 and is pretty biased that way so that is high praise indeed! In any event, love my car. Love the way it gobbles up the miles and puts lots of smiles on my face.
