Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

For reasons far too irritating to discuss right now, I need 2 get into my engine bay and i'm locked out without a way to open it (the in car lever is locked). Is there an easy to access emergency cable release for the engine bay and if so where is it located please. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

the cable is under the driver rear light, might be able to fish it out with a very thin coat hanger (maybe put some tape on it)... thats all I can think of.

POST 3Original post

Very easy to get to. Using a spatchula or paint stirrer, pry up thr bottom of the left rear taillight slightly and you will be able to reach the cable and pull it out with a coat hanger or similar wire. Just pull it and the trunk will open.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

great! thanks. will try it 2morro.

POST 5Original post

What's happening Omar, how can the engine lock release get locked up? Let us know so we know what NOT to do

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Don't install a compustar alarm in your car John. If you want security, buy a gun and a dog. Lesson learned

POST 7Original post

How about just some martial arts?? Why would just the OEM "imobilizer" alarm not be enough? They are pretty well dug in to all the car's electronics.
