Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

27 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It was a Targa 4-S! I didn't know they made these, I guess I'm not up on my brand new Porsches! It looked awesome! That said, I still love the look of the 996 (to keep it ON topic)!

POST 2Original post

Pics or it never happened.... Never knew they made one.

POST 3Original post

OK... Just re-read.... YeH the 997 targas are wide bodies. Same as the gt3rs. Bad *** indeed.

POST 4Original post

Actually the newest Targa's ONLY come as a 4 or 4S. You can't order a 2WD Targa, currently.

POST 6Original post

Saw one in Artic Gold (think that was the name of the color) looked swanky !!

POST 7Original post

The owner of a Nordic Gold Targa with Cocoa interior posts occasionally on the 997 Forum occasionally. I have to say that is one butt ugly Porsche! There is a reason they discontinued Nordic Gold as an available color.

POST 9Original post

I liked it - till people told me it was ugly, now a hate it

That color is bad! And not "bad", plain bad! Unless it's a Delta 88, no car should be that color.

POST 14Original post

I don't mind the color of the car, but those wheels are *** ugly.

POST 15Original post

LOL, that car (well, a non-S actually) has been my desktop image for about a year:

POST 16Original post

Come on, guys, is this the Silver 996 Forum? Seems that the only colors that are universally liked are silver or black. Boooooring. Bring me something that shines as different - I like the looks of that car!! larry

Hey, I'm not a big fan of silver either, despite owning it... but that Is a raunchy color. How about some Mexico blue

POST 20Original post

I like the color. It is very unique, to say the least. I do remember my neighbor having an Olds Cutlass in about that color in 1970 however... You like or not- look at the love/ hate comments about the "kermit green..."

POST 21Original post

OK Ferd, you asked for the pics...... don't blame me if they hurt your eyes! BTW, I really dislike the Cocoa interior color. If I had a car with that color interior, I am afraid that every time I got in it I would feel like I had to take a s**t!

POST 22Original post

^^^ thanks Tim.... That color would rock on a 60's/70's 911. On a modern 911.... not so much.

POST 24Original post

+1 Ferd, color is right, just not on that car and while we are ragging on the 997's the gas/brake pedals look like a Buick too

POST 25Original post

Quotes source post: 8101715

Hey, what the hell's wrong with Kermit Green??????? larry

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I agree yet again - a coco interior, in a gold car? Yikes! That color belongs on one of those '32 Coupe hot rods.

POST 27Original post

When you have a Porsche with that loud color you can get away with anything. I bet it looks great in person. I get enough attention with a black Porsche. Cops are always tailing me around, I think they are just looking at the 911. I once saw a guy in a yellow Ferrari. I met him down town at the NAVY academe. He had yellow Ferrari shoes, yellow Ferrari hat, and a yellow Ferrari leather jacket. I said to him, if I had a yellow Ferrari I would wear the yellow shoes too. You should have seen the grin on the old man’s face…
