Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know this is not an exhaust for 996 it's for a 987 s. I know there are two types of Milltek exhaust for it. 1. CAT-BACK - Inc. Rear Catalysts 2. CAT-BACK - Exc. Rear Catalysts I got this used and I think it got welded after wards.

POST 2Original post

It appears they removed the first muffler and put a straight pipe in place to make it louder IMO. Possibly it had some cracking due to being single wall stainless steel? Looks like it was welded with a MIG instead or TIG?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This is what I see on the auction before I got my hands on it.

POST 4Original post

Looks like they clearly wanted to hide those welded on sections with the tarp. Looks like the cats were removed?

POST 5Original post

Yeah it seems like this was modified either to remove the cats from a cat included set or maybe to fit a 987. The tarp over the section in question is dubious

It's a catback exhaust so the part that was removed must have been a resonator.
