Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

While washing the car the other day, it looks as though my headlight has actually 'sunk'. The driver's side seems to be about half a cm lower than the passengers. Planning on taking it out and having a look when I can get in a heated garage. Has anybody had this happen before? It came out of the blue and seems reaaaaaly odd to me.

POST 2Original post

Maybe the headlight wasn't seated properly the last time it was taken out? Just a wild guess.

POST 3Original post

did anyone sit on it? the tabs on the sdie of the lights can break off... also the "tray" the light slides into is adjustable but its a bit tricky to get them just right. just ideas

That's horrible. I'm never eating lunch and browsing this forum at the same time again. The headlight wasn't taken out. As far as sitting on it, I guess somebody could have when I was parked at work. Although I'd like to think they didn't. I had it at the shop a while back, but I can't imagine an engine drop causing headlight issues. I'll take 'er out on my days off and see if I can adjust that 'tray'. Thanks!

Is she from Indiana? I think so... I know I've seen her out in public... woof...

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Took it out today, and no sign of why it's not lining up. Tabs are intact, and I can't figure out how that tray adjusts. Any bolts on the underside looked like they'd drop the bumper off too... Are the headlights like *********? Should I expect the other one to drop sooner or later?

I did with no luck. It comes back to rest in the exact same spot every time.
