I got a massive stone chip on my o/s wing today, right down to the metal! I have touched it up for now, once I've got a justifiable collection I'll be off to the spray shop. The front wings seem like a magnet to stones. The n/s wing has a long light swirling scratch where a spinning stone has run up it (it's as cool an effect as it is annoying). How did I get the latest massive chip? A Porsche cayenne in the outside lane chucked a massive stone at me from its back tires. What are the chances of that! If you have a cayenne, get some mud guards will you :-)

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

For the US folks, "wing" = "fender"
Thanks, I couldn't figure that out. What is o/s & n/s? Other side and near side?

OffSide and NearSide. Off is Passenger, Near is Driver. Since he's in the UK, it is the other way around on top of everything else for us over here, so don't even try to figure it out, it gets confusing very fast...
Doesn't sound too bad... The wife put a huge cooler away on a shelf in the garage. It fell on my car over night, and left a little dent on the right rear fender... I wasn't happy to say the least, but what can ya do?
Dr. Ferdinand explains chips and scratches as Porsche petina, and would prefer seeing imperfections on his Porsches because that means you are driving your Porsche.(But it does hurt to see new dents and scratches)
Who "drives" there Porsche? You might hurt it.

Yep, I've done 6000 miles since September 50k miles is looming :-)
You are lucky its only a stone chip up there in Edinburgh. It could have been an empty bottle of Glen Fiddich from the car in front of you haha. "Ye tech the high road...and HIC" right through the windscreen.....lol
