Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Phil, I found a replacement for your departed C4S and get this..... it has only 465 miles! However, I do completely understand why it has only 465 miles on it. 2005 C4S for Phil

POST 2Original post

Tim, this is just a 'wild' guess.....could it have something to do with the color? Or the name of the color,'mint green'? I'm going out on a limb here, the owner was truly afraid to drive this Porsche because he was fearful for his life while being seen in public!! Tim are you there, is that it???

POST 5Original post

you see without accenting the seatbelts that color would be impossible to pull off

POST 6Original post

Perfect for Phil! If the car is in the garage and covered you wont even see it!

POST 7Original post

Asking way too much for this sample, furthermore, I can't see that many people lusting for this color. Let see, 465 miles x 4 years = about 100 miles per day. This car sure looks like a winner.

POST 9Original post

I have actually seen this car in person on their showroom floor. I'm not into crazy colors but it doesn't look bad. I guess that car/color combination isn't very photogenic.

POST 10Original post

Oh no... it's rare that I say this, but that just looks terrible.

POST 11Original post

Phil might get more use out of a chocolate colored (covered) car - no need to drive it... just pick off a piece and eat it http://uk.autoblog.com/photos/porsch...e-911/2464929/

POST 12Original post

There is a similar one I saw on-line, out of Reno, that I sent to my friends as a joke of what I was considering buying. My gosh that is one ugly color... in my opinion, with no offense to you (two or three people in the world) who like that color.

POST 14Original post

465 because the owner was too embarrassed to take the car out due to color, not because it's a "trophy car."

POST 15Original post

But Arnee the chicks with big tail ends like it That amount of years and probably the same break in oil with facotry break in sludge? No thanks. What I mean is he probably never changed the oil and I have to wonder if the dealer ever bothered to after bring it in. It isn't just 500 miles or so then change to get rid of machining gunk and bits. It's the miles or time of 3 months or so to get the harmful stuff out that the break in generates into the oil. I imagine the car actually started as a white car then due to the car wanting to puke holding all that bad oil in for so long it turned greenish puke colors

POST 16Original post

tic tac green...... hmmmmmm. BTW, where the hell is Phil..... hmmmmmmm.

POST 18Original post

Color = non-issue... have you seen what they can do with vinyl graphics these days?

POST 19Original post

Tim, I'm very tempted, mainly because of Sir Mix Alot's endorsement (re.'big butt'). However, that is possibly the most hideous exterior color I've ever seen. At least it has black interior - not nephrite green. Now THAT would be a car.

POST 20Original post

I HATE when the kids get a hold of the easter egg coloring and do that to my car.

We've finally found a car that would improve from being dirty - in fact, who here wouldn't benefit from having a car you'd never, ever wash again (hoping the grime might turn it into a forest green...)

Sir Mix Alot is a Lambo guy.... Orange Lambo. He has the most amazing exhaust on his car and while I have driven down the highway at spirited paces, his car is wicked fast when he wants it to be. He is a big car nut. Loves to drive. Quite a nice guy. This is him and me together on the freeway, him by my car, and an overview of his car next to mine (I have talked with him at length though I am sure the pleasure was mine)
