Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, Anybody tried this? 1 - Do they fit mechanically in a 996TT? 2 - Do I need to buy the 997 rails? 3 - Is the easier way to remove the safety belts from the stock seat and install them in the GT2 seats (for seat belt warning light connection)? 4 - Can I remove the airbags from the GT2 seats (the 996TT airbags are in the doors)?

POST 4Original post

I think that... the will bolt on right in. You will need to hack the connectors (they don't match)... the belts receptacles are the same. Make sure you have the key out of the ignition. The side airbags on the GT2 seats will be inert but your side bags on the 996TT will still deploy in the event of an accident. Unless I'm wrong... let me know what you end doing! joel

Hi all, thanks guys! Yes, I believe I will, but in 1 to 2 months time. I have a quote already from the local Porsche Centre and Porsche Germany can put a pair here in 8 days. I will post the pics when done!
