Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone tried this? http://www.e-partssales.com/miva/mer...de=996ttengele Specifications: Casing: Carbon Composite Shell and Polymer Plastic Weight: 6 lbs Length: 5.8" x 3.4" x 4.2" Pulse Cranking Amps: 527 Warranty: 1 Year Free Replacement

POST 2Original post

Why is the plastic version the same weight? If it is, with same dimensions and CCP- I'd prefer it over the CF version. Cheaper too. http://www.e-partssales.com/miva/gra...1/6lberbig.jpg

POST 3Original post

Keep in mind the 527 "Pulse Cranking Amps" does not equal the standard method of measuring a battery's starting ability - "Cold Cranking Amps" (CCA) which this battery is right around 210. I have one of these, this specific model, in CF, in my Civic race car and it starts my high compression 1.8L no problem. In fact, on a tuning day, we started the car over 10 times in a 1 hour period and it was just starting to get weak towards the end, after driving the car for an hour it was perfect again. I am extremely happy with my purchase but am aware that my 1.8L takes fewer CCAs to crank than a 3.6L so be aware of that!

POST 4Original post

well its not sold by a "fly by night" operation so I would guess it to be OK... but how does it mount? its kind of small.....

POST 5Original post

Read the fine print..."not for a daily driver" I would suggest an Optima Red Top, which will save u weight over the crummy stock battery, and it's gel so no maint and no leaks.

Screw Braille. Deka(who makes Braille batteries).
