Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 2004 911 Carrera is missing the "security socket" to remove the 6 splined anti theft lug nut. Called the dealer. "You have to bring in the car." But it's got a flat! Haven't been able to find the correct socket on FleaBay. Does anyone know the code for the 6 point/spline tool? Sorry the pics are so big...David

POST 2Original post

Drive (hammer) a 12 point socket on there, or buy a universal wheel lock remover. You can get one on Amazon. Throw those in the trash and buy new regular lug bolts. No one is going to steal your wheels.

POST 3Original post

Have a look at 000-044-602-85. This was from Pelican parts in the US. It shows a security wheel nut socket and 4 security nuts for about $135. The socket looks like the one you have in the picture. Try that part code from a UK supplier or the method Joe suggests.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks. I'm gonna try to modify a 12 point socket.
