Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just saying hey to everyone. My name is Nick and I live in central Arkansas. I just recently bought a 1999 911 with 50,000 miles and blue interior out of south Florida. It was a one owner car and her birthday present in dec. '98. It is all stock just as it drove off the showroom floor. Gave 24000 for it and drove it home, hope I didnt give too much. My daily is an '04 ford ranger and I also have a 2006 GTO with a 408 making right at 600rwhp. I'm not too incredably new to the porsche scene as I grew up close to road atlanta and have close friends the work/own motorwerks racing in Georgia. On to pics...

POST 2Original post

Welcome to the fun. Cars look great. I hope you enjoy driving the car all the time.

POST 3Original post

Welcome to Rennlist Nick, always nice to see another gearhead. I also have a 99 with just over 53k miles, so about the same as yours. Your Porsche looks very clean, and it's a liitle late to be concerned about the price you paid. I'm glad to hear a MY 99 sold for $24k. Congrats.

POST 4Original post

Did you probably pay a little more than market? Probably so. However, do NOT look back on the deal thinking you could have saved a couple grand. You paid what it was worth to you and that is all that matters. She's a beauty. Congrats on the purchase and early xmas gift! Enjoy in good health

POST 5Original post

Nice, Looks like you've got a car for every occasion? Enjoy the new ride, looks great!

POST 7Original post

Wow another Aero. Welcome! The gas station pic reminds me of one that Shark had posted a while back. Same color.

POST 8Original post

Nice looking Aero and as Dell said above, if the car was worth that much to you I wouldn't look back a second. It sounds like you have a fresh canvas to work with, my first recommendation would be to lower it. Not only does it improve the driving experience/feel, but the MK1 Aero lowered has an exceptional stance to it IMO. My 99 Aero is an absolute joy to drive and live with. Take some time and search this forum as there is a wealth of knowledge from which modification ideas and elective or required maintenance can be planned for. Any pictures of the interior?

POST 10Original post

Wow! that is a wild looking car. A factory aero with what looks like Meridian Metallic paint and dark blue (metropol?) interior. And I have never seen those wheels before. Nice! Enjoy!

POST 11Original post

Welcome - dont worry about the money lost.... wait till your wife finds out how much time is "required" on Rennlist Welcome - looks great!

POST 12Original post

Welcome, nice aero...by the looks of the Goat, you shouldn't have a problem modding the Pcar. Enjoy the ride.

POST 13Original post

Nick, welcome to the Phunny Pharm. Nice looking car. Thanks for the pics. Be careful around here...... soon someone will mention mods and these guys will spend your money faster than your wife can! You have been warned!

POST 14Original post

Nick welcome to a great community. Also, thanks to all those nice folks in S Florida for taking care of the 996's during their first years. We'll take it from here...

POST 15Original post

Welcome Nick, remember, it's only money. There's plenty more where that came from... I'm new to the RL as well, good group. Much knowledge here.

POST 16Original post

Sweet. Porsche prices are always tricky. Ultimately any car is worth what the buyer and seller agree on.

POST 17Original post

A deal is made when both parties leave happy. Enjoy it, these cars are undervalued. I plan on putting mine on the market for that and I don't have the aero kit.... Call me crazy.

POST 18Original post

Welcome goat. I am a customer of Matt @ motorwerks. He is a great guy and knows his stuff... tell him to start taking C.Cards!

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for all the welcomes, Matts a great guy and glad he's starting to do better. I flew Donny down to Ft. Meyers with me to check out the car and he went all through it. I'll get the interior pictures up in the morning

POST 20Original post

Welcome Nick and very nice find. I think We all here know that buying cars can be an expensive hobby. So don't look back at what you paid. Enjoy the car and driver her! Are you planning any more mods?
