Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Mahle makes the filter sold by Porsche. If you look at a Porsche filter it even has the Mahle part number on it.
Thanks Tool Pants!!
If they sold it as Genuine then no it's not correct. If they sold it as OEM then yes that is correct. OEM: Original Equipment Manufacture , Genuine: Packaged for sale for the dealerships -Eli
It was OEM if I remember correctly.By the way Eli, your new paint job looks superb!! Munro86
Thank you, believe it or not it looks better in person! It's usually the other way around.... I'm trying to keep on top of it each day..... -Eli
They make filters for Porsche and I think they are about 2.00$ cheaper on the net...than the regular P filter...
Us cheap Boxster owners figured out who makes what a long time ago. If you want some empty Porsche boxes and bags with a product made by company X - then we have a few leftovers from our work on cars day.
Tool pants, Who is the manufacturer of the wiper blades and the fuel filter (I can't tell by your picture). Also where do you usually order/get the Mann and Mahle pollen and air filter?
$18 for Genuine $15 for Mahle Something like that...... -Eli
The fuel filter is made by Mahle. Although it has a Porsche part number on it also has the Mahle part number on it. The Mahle part number is KL 80. I did not look for the brand of wiper blades. I do remember they were made in the UK. You should be able to buy these parts from any independent parts place that deals with German cars. This is what all the independent mechanics I know do. It is the exact same part, you just don't get the Porsche box.
