Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://www.yourdailymedia.com/media/1118169831 Interesting run.

POST 2Original post

so that's where all our tax money for the war goes to...

POST 3Original post

Greatest video ever. Vove, that was awesome. Did you see how quick the gap was closed after 100mph? Wow!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've noticed that. I have had first hand experience with my 964 and bikes in the past. After 100mph, the 964 will start to pull away from street bikes easily. Thats one of the reasons why I love porsches, they pull hard in the top end speed.

POST 5Original post

Cool video. It would have been iteresting to throw a top fuel dragster into the mix as well since they hit around 330mph in the 1/4 mile. I was surprised the jet need a chute to decrease speed after landing on that runway, but then again, I am not a pilot.

POST 6Original post

I don't know, I have an 810 turbo Kawasaki that will kill a 996TT..........

POST 7Original post

I know the bike can turn some laps but the jet??????????nah. Oh, and BTW, i do not think that was a U.S. jet so your tax dollars might be safe from that demonstration?

POST 8Original post

Seem's odd that the bike was passed by the 911.. I think he let up since he was so far ahead..

POST 9Original post

the second turbo might have kicked in.. i remember when i had a highly modded supra twin turbo, i would easily take bikes after 120mph+ or so.. 0-60 they'd kill me though..

POST 10Original post

I spoke to one of my friends who owns a Yamaha YZF1000R after showing him the video. He is convinced the bike let up. In his experience riding the bike at high speeds in Florida on the straight, flat, and wide highways down there, he says no car has EVER keep up with him until extraordinarily high speeds have been reached, at which point they begin to SLOWLY reel him in. He stated that exotic cars most ASSUREDLY do NOT blow by his bike at that pace ever. Having tapped 175mph from a dead standstill on my bike, I am inclined to agree with his suspicions. But, it'd still be nice to have that TT.

POST 11Original post

I've raced my R1 against my Viper (driven by my wife). Both have mods (170 HP and 500 HP respectively). The R1 easily pulls away from the Viper. Above 120 mph the car starts pushing harder, but by then the bike is way ahead. By the way - imagine throwing a Busa or a ZX-12 into the above shootout. Might have been even more impressive up till 200mph.

POST 12Original post

The regular turbo goes 0-200 kph in around 14s. The newest superbikes can do this in around 7s and go 300+ So there's not much doubt what happened. Thorsten
