I'll be able to do it this weekend when I measure my silicone intake hose to see if the inner diameter is smaller than the MAF opening and the TB opening on the other end.

Just measured mine for you, the inner diameter (bottom of chamfer) is 34mm. 99 C4 egas.

Not exactly sure where you were measuring to get that number. Here's a rough measurement from a '01. Looks to be around 85.37mm.
