Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, new owner of dark blue 1999 996 bought this week. 63k miles with Porsche service history. Had a 'light' fire in dashboard melting part of dash, heater controls, radio. Passenger airbags deployed on door and dash. Going to be a project for this coming year. Wil post pics later this week

POST 2Original post

Welcome. I also have a MY99 with 60k miles and still enjoy driving and owning it. Will be 6 years this Sept. since I purchased it. Hope you can bring it back to life. Pics of your project would be great to share. GL

POST 9Original post

Wow- so the pix in the avatar is a "light" fire? I'd hate to see what you call heavy damage......welcome and good luck with the project.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Avatar is of a 911 which was in the UK press last year. I believe owner was unhappy with service he was getting from dealer!
