Since nothing is wrong with my 996 except the fuzz on my oil magnet, needing new control arm bushings and a new radiator fan resistor....... Did you guys receive the new 991 Cabriolet Book in the mail called "Porsche Identity"? There is a white Cab with a Maroon top that is stunning. I also noticed the 0-60 for the 7 speed manual isn't much faster than our old 996. Of course the PDK will give manual shifters a headache down the 1/4 mile. Here's the link provided in the book. http://www.porsche.com/911-cabriolet

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I haven't see the book yet, I drove a 991 S coupe at Tysons Porsche 991 promotion event earlier this year. It was amazing to me how fast the engine revved up and how much larger the car felt inside. The entire dash board felt like it angle down differently then most cars, I liked it. My 10 year old son was in the back and mentioned it was much larger in the the back seat then my 996. My 996 felt very raw and cozy on the way home. Would be very interesting to comparing driving the cabriolets one right after the other. 991 is very impressive.
I like raw and cozy. It's why I bought the Porsche. I have cushy and comfy in my DD. Haven't seen the book. Would like to though. Yes the PDK shifts much faster than I can. So does my wife's MB Luxo boat and my Ford truck for that matter. Well maybe not the truck when I really concentrate. That's not the point.

With the tops down, the 996 has slightly more headroom.
