Does anyone have a sense of what percentage of 996's have RMS. thanks MartyS

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Only Porsche knows - and they're not talking....
and everyone can guess....why the don't.....
do you think it is greater than or less than 50%
If you find out let us know, I know those people that tried the class action suit couldn't get the info..
What class action lawsuit? Was there one?
Perhaps the current price increase on new models will cover the engines and/or seals being replaced.
I too would be interested in knowing if there was an attempt at class-action. I know there was a near class-action against Land Rover for the horrible consistent problems with Range Rovers but the attorneys could not get enough cooperation from the owners. I think there is a phenomenon about attempts at class-actions and wealthy demographics - they don't get very far...
First off I agree that only Porsche knows the answer and they aren't talking. Based on info I got from one dealership, hardly scientific, and extrapolating the numbers to cover the entire world, I would guess that about 20% of 996s will develop premature RMS leaks. So if my guess is in the ballpark, you have an 80% chance of not having an RMS lleak.
I don't know the details on the suit, but I have ( i think i read it) that the lawyer that was doing the suit , got sidetracked but truckloads of money from an un named source. The action was dropped and no-body ever followed up on it...Again this is just what i heard...or read
I'm not sure there would be cause for a class action suit, but I'm no lawyer.
