Im like what -i almost fell over-- So Im not sure what to do--we have a SUV and this would be a second fun car beside my fun car--her thinking is in the coming year ill drive the convert more and eventually trade in my porsche for a cayenne when our family grows. Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Nice car, the M3 convertible, but be aware that there's a definite hit in handling performance between the cab and the coupe. It's both a function of increased weight and the reduced chassis rigidity. I'm amazed how much more tossable my E46 sedan feels compared to my E46 cab (both non M's). I didn't notice it much at first, but as I've become more tuned in to the cars it bothers me. I'm sure that there's a similar hit in feel for the M3 cab vs. the coupe. Anyway, there's no substitute for a cab if that's what you really want. On the 3's and 5's: As someone who makes their living by closely monitoring critical functions, I must say I'm apalled at the new BMWs. BMW has never been very good on instrumentation; the non- M cars haven't had an oil pressure gauge for years. Now, however, they've dropped even the temp. gauge from the instrument cluster in exchange for an idiot light. I guess for a clueless driver it's no loss, but I wish the information was still available for those that know how to use it.
