Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Greetings Rennlist! :-) After adoring Porsches from afar for most of my life I can finally say I own one. I just picked up a CPO 40th Anniversary Edition with ~13k miles and I am loving it! She's #395 and in pristine condition. I'm in the Dallas area, hope to meet some of y'all around town. :-) I'll get some better pics soon...this is a phone picture taken in the delivery bay at the dealership. Sean

Sean, welcome aboard. Congratulations on your first Porsche.....you picked a great example with low miles and apparently in pristine condition. You are off to a great start.

POST 5Original post

Congrats! I bought my first from Park Place too. I remember a Sax Maniac on the Frisco message board (I think). The same? Michael.

That would be me! I'm still in Frisco, up toward Preston/ElDorado.

POST 8Original post

wow - score !! welcome my advice is to drive the wheels off it since the last owner wsaved it for you...you dont have to save it for the next guy

Me too! I'm off Fisher and Preston! Let's get some coffee sometime. There's another red 996 Turbo on here from Frisco too! Michael (mdoan300).

LOL, gotcha. I remember a couple of FOL discussions. 300ZX to M3.....then apparently a Porsche, right? I think we live in the same subdivision. Are you going to Cars & Coffee in Plano tomorrow morning?

Good memory, but there was a 350z between the 300 and M3. ;-) If you go down Fisher on a daily basis, then you probably see my black 5-series out in front. Classic C&C is too packed. RUF cars and bikes is better... Michael.

POST 26Original post

Nice choice. What seats does your car have and how do you like them?

POST 27Original post

Beautiful! Did your car come with the matching luggage?

Ah, another Collin county resident? :-) Looks like Park Place Porsche in Dallas. Michael.

POST 30Original post

Very nice. I just did a Porsche dealer pre owned search and there are a few listed with similar miles - 11k to 17k miles and are priced from $49 - $51k. Wow have these asking prices gone up. They must know about the IMS guardian hitting the market .

POST 31 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Knfeparty - the car has the comfort seats option. I really like them, but I don't have another Porsche experience to compare them to. My wife says they are much more comfortable than she was expecting. Spender - unfortunately no, the luggage was not included with the car. I assume the original owner kept it. I seem to have everything else though, right down to the original sticker. Chaos - Michael is correct, I purchased at Park Place in Dallas. Interestingly enough they just took in another 40AE in trade with low miles...if anyone is looking. :-) All - thanks for the welcome, so far Rennlist seems to be an awesome little community!

POST 32Original post
