Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It looks like the factory aero option on a 1999-2001 996 coupe was a ~$7000 option--sounds high, can that be right? I like the side skirts but would take or leave the 2-tiered rear wiing. Any one have experience to share adding 3rd party side skirts?

POST 3Original post

after doing much reading on the sideskirts, as I really wanted some for my car, you are better buying them at suncoast as all others are fiberglass and these part are subject to impact from sidewalk or what else so the oem ABS plastic version are more resistant. anyways it will cost you a fortune to paint them right, so why saving $300 in aftermarket. sideskirts from suncoast are only $700 I think. while the front bumper and rear wing are quiet expensive. phil

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The quote I got was $350 to paint the side skirts. What was installation like?

POST 5Original post

Go with the GT3 tek side skirts... they are Polyurethane and have a great fit finish. give Joel a call at Better Bodies.
