Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I spotted this for sale on Ebay. It is one of the more unusual color combinations that I have seen (and actually like...unlike the Nephrite green interiors). If I was in the market for a 996TT, I might be tempted. It's Ebay item # 310012195221. I fear it might be called pimp red . Am I the only one that likes this combination?

POST 2Original post

too much red. it would have been perfect with natural cocoa brown interior.

POST 3Original post

it's a turbo so it's okay to be very red!! just put a couple of CF parts in it...center console etc.

POST 4Original post

We could put a white console (rear and front) along with a few other touches of exterior color in there, and that would soften the interior just perfectly. Nice one.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nicolaas, you are right, CF would add to the appearance. Eric, nothing beats the look of your body colored consoles.

POST 6Original post

Normally I don't like white, but it sure looks stunning on the TT. It's a bit much red for me... would have preferred a cinnamon brown or something, but some CF or some of Eric's part and you should be in business.

POST 7Original post

Hey Mark, a black 3 spoke would really tone down the "red"...just kidding, it's not for sale. If the price is right live on the edge and go for it. I do like the white exterior though.

POST 8Original post

Great looking, white accents would make it even better.

It's like lipstick on a snowman. A snowhooker.

POST 10Original post

Beautiful car - all that red would be like climbing into hell everyday.

POST 11Original post

I like the white but I prefer my red on the outside of the car...not a car 4 me

POST 12Original post

wow....i always felt that red was much better suited on the interiors of vettes or mustangs. The white wheels and dark tints however really make the car look awesome. At least the inside matches the brakes. j

LOL! Then you get out of it and walk into the office where it's hell all over again.

POST 14Original post

My eyes! All that red is burning away at my retinas. ... you can take it that it's a little too red for me.

POST 15Original post

White over red? I think it works great on that car. Would I order it? No, but it's hot.

POST 16Original post

Saw an old Eldorado in that combo, dude with a big hat driving it

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Unfortunately, I am not in the market for a 996TT at this time. What I gather from the majority of the replies, is that I would have to wear this outfit while driving that car...

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Maybe I could get my wife to wear this...then we would both match the interior.

POST 19Original post

If I had the cash to order a new one I wouldnt order that but on a used one for a good price I would own it- different is good right?

POST 21Original post

I like the exterior color, I don’t like the way the white wheels look and with an interior looking like that I wouldn’t need to stick my finger down my throat to throw up. JMHO

POST 23Original post

It's not the first time I see red on white. I almost bought a 993 like that and seen it on numerous 996. Even though I love Eric's work with rear center console in body color, I personally wouldn't put any white inside. It would make it look like a candy cane. I would go more toward CF on this one.

POST 24Original post

I like the combination. It does need something to break up the red on the upper center console and the A/C vents. I would buy it if I was in the market.

POST 25 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the opinions guys. It is definately one that you either love or hate. The interior reminds me a little of a Gullwing Mercedes that sold at Barrett-Jackson. It was silver, with a bright red interior....I absolutely loved it. Speaking of Barrett-Jackson, Just one more week before 40 hours of car guy heaven on the Speed Channel.

POST 27Original post

it looks very red but it's the camera's flash , it's terracotta i have it in my car and it's much "browner" in daylight Sorry for the poor quality , phone camera , the first with the flash , the other without it. see ya all and have fun

Those are two different colors...his is red (as advertised)... I like yours much better (see my earlier post... would have preferred the white with a cinnamon brown or something like that)

POST 29Original post

Quotes source post: 4951653

The ad said the interior was leather to sample, so it is red.

Nah. Forget carbon fiber. What the car needs is a little bit of yellow. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turbo-forum/156299-x50-exterior-pics-black-wheels.html

Yeah, I remember Donny's car. You know he had the yellow repainted to red prior to selling it.

LOL...as i scrolled thru those pictures of the red and yellow....i couldn't help but laugh out loud. That is really wild stuff. i must say that from rear...the color combo looks pretty fantastic....nothing i'd buy myself...but neat to see on someone else's car. J

POST 35Original post

pretty flashy and i've seen worse on this forum. i'd say get it if you like it.
