Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, If you remove stock rear wing from 2004 C4S and put on a fixed rear wing, what is involved with the harness etc. I heard you get a rear spoiler warning light unless you buy a special realay or something??? Thanks in advance! Steve

POST 2Original post

I did this on my 1999 C2. The spoiler light did indeed come on, and stay on. I had to have my shop look into the wiring harness, and close the loop that unplugging the spoiler left open. Once the loop is closed, the car thinks everything is normal and the light goes out.

POST 3Original post

IIRC, there is a specific wiring harness for the fixed spoilers that you can order.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
