Hello all, I've been lurking for quite some time and finally decided to join... great site full of very valuable info.... I just bought her in October... 1999 C2 with 36,000 miles... she's pretty much bone stock....... but not for long... Modifications on order are a Tequipment Roll Bar and GT3 seats from Sunset Imports, Simpson Platinum 6 point harness's from Apex SPG and fire extinguisher with mount from OG racing..... Getting ready to autocross and possible track time (if the boss, errr wife, allows ) Saving for a PSS9 and PSE while looking for a good mod shop in So Cal... recommendations would be greatly appreciated... I took these photos the day I bought her, so go easy... they're not the best quality or the best location...... Have a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year...

Do you have alot of track experience? Just trying to understand the GT3 seats/Harnesses and the Rollcage. Personally, when I bought my car, I did as many DE events as possible to learn how to drive the car first in its stock form, then slowly started adding safety equipment that is needed at HIGHER speeds. FYI.....the 911 is not an autocross-friendly car. Light and nimble is the key for that. The 911 is a TRUE track car though. Happy motoring and enjoy the new ride....she's a beauty!
Ditto what Dell said, I have a new teq bar if you're interested btw. As far as suspension goes, check out the RoW 030, best combo for an early 996. PSE is overated,imo, check out a set of fabspeeds! Welcome!
Definitely do suspension before rollbar and seats. SSK, too. Other than that, frankly, I would drive the car around a bit before doing anything to get the good feel of what she can do. Later, once you have decided what needs to be improved first, you can start to accessorize. As for exhausts, oh well, a can of worms has already been opened by Chris above, but I concur completely with his sentiments. You got a classic car in a classic color. Enjoy it. Oh yeah, and welcome.
