You'd think I was trying to find nuclear launch codes. I'm just looking for the torque settings for the tie rod end (where it hooks to the wheel). I have found a few vague references anywhere from 22ft lbs to 54 ft lbs but nothing that covers my car or at least the 996 series. But this is for a 2001 911 996 Carrera Cabriolet 3.4

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

55 LB/FT. See here: http://www.cannell.co.uk/_manuals/po...nning_gear.pdf
Yup. Also in the Bentley.
By the way 55FTLB is also the launch code so be careful.
Good n tight.
You guys rock, thanks so much. Usually I can track this stuff down, but this one had me going in circles. I will treat these launch codes with the utmost care.
