Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, I just purchased my first P-car (996 C4 cabriolet) and at one time viewed a posting discussing the one button, top down at low speed switch. Its annoying that I have to have the ebrake on to take the top down. Does anyone out there recall where I can get this part? I have also looked at 6 speed forum (although this forum seems to have more "pertinant" info) and they also do not have anything. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Hey, first post huh? Welcome to the Rennlist. I've been thinking about getting this product: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...e=smarttop_996 It has some neat features including the ability to raise and lower the top while moving. Plus the installation is pretty straightforward. You should get it and let me know how it works. P.S. New members are required to make an introduction and post pictures of their car. Just kidding. Welcome to the board.

POST 3Original post

Try this. http://www.bahntech.com/products/autotop/default.asp It's not expensive and works like a charm (especially when you do the cab hack so you can put the top down while moving).

POST 4Original post

Absolutely. I have it, and did the hack. Can't be any happier!

POST 5Original post

I have the C4S so the car is designed to put the top down at 30mph or less, however, I did install the Bahntech switch and it works flawlessly! Welcome to Rennlist

POST 6Original post

Bahntech, the way to go for sure... No affiliation, just a happy customer (BTW, great customer support from them too).

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
