Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have already posted this on Renntech in the DIY section, but did not get any answers. Could I splice into the vacuum line that is located right below where you have your vacuum tank mounted. Both of the rubber pieces on each side of the throttle body already have a vacuum line connected to them and I could not get to the rubber pieces on the tuning pipe (the large pipe behind the throttle body). The vacuum line that connects to something right below where the vacuum tank is mounted comes from the rubber piece on the right side of the throttle body. I was thinking I could splice into it right where it comes out of the throttle body. My only concern was whether the line coming out of the throttlebody was large enough to support both the PSE vacuum tank and whatever it already goes to. If I can't spice into this line are there other options to get a vacuum source for the exhaust? Thanks, Kris

You should install the rubber coupling the came with the PSE kit to either #30 or # 38 on the intake distributor. These may be a litlle harder to get at, but I would not splice into the existing ones. I will post a diagram on Renntech for you.
