Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Considering buying a 996. I like this brown leather interior, but is there any way to upgrade the black console parts to brushed aluminum? Is this an OEM part(s) job, or does some aftermarket company offer an updgrade for this? Sorry if this is a newbie question, but I'm a newbie. Any help much appreciated. http://www.mindspring.com/~davidgadd...6_interior.jpg

POST 8Original post

That is not a poor photoshop, actually well done, I thought I was looking at a p car interior! Sorry couldnt help it!

POST 9Original post

I do not like the painted parts because they can scratch easily. I'd rather go with carbon fiber, might be a little more expensive, but in my opinion it looks better. Do not know if Eric carries CF parts, but if he does not check www.macarbon.com . They have almost every interior part in CF and most importantly it is not the CF overlays they are the OE part covered in CF.

POST 10Original post

there are some other metal finishes that aftermarket shops are applying to stock parts, like titanium or brushed metal finishes. Getting everything painted would be much cheaper and easier. Just an aluminium look or standard artic silver would be simular to the picture you displayed.
