I had my '03 c2 up on ramps last night taking a look at the front swaybar mounts. I'd like to install my M030 front sway (already did the rear). From the looks of it, I need to: - remove the plastic undertray, looks pretty straightforward - remove the two bolts (from the bottom) holding the swaybar bushing clamp, and then... - there are two big blue bolt heads that appear to hold the "black plate" to both the subframe and one of the control arms. this is where it appears to get tricky. A couple questions: 1) does the weight need to be off of the suspension for this? my guess is "yes" (unusual for a swaybar install...) 2) do you just back off of the blue bolts until you can get enough clearance to remove the sway+bushings, or do you need to remove them entirely? Thanks, Scott.

1.I did them on ramps, so you dont' need to have the weight off. I think it would be easier on a lift so you can remove the wheels and reach the end links better. 2. I backed off so you have enough clearence. The job dose take some time about 1 hour. It could be done faster on a lift.

I bought the H&R front and rear swaybars for my 1996 993. The rear install went well, however the front is a major pain. I got the bolts out of the front bushing brackets, got the bushings out, but damn, how do you get the old bar out much less get the new and bigger dia. bar in? Anyone have some tips here? I searched rennlist.org but did not find any thing there. Any help is much appreciated!!!!!!
From my old '84 911 its just keep wiggling it until you can get one side out. Putting it back in is just as much of a PITA. Sorry I have no better tips.
