Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I really like the new version of the Carrera wheels on the 997, but I just found out that the offsets are noticeably different from those for the current Carrera 5-spoke wheel offered with the 2004 996. David Marting at Wheel Enhancement tells me that the front Carrera III wheel has an offset of 57mm, which means it will sit further 'in' than my current wheels (18" Sport Designs) and the rear wheel has an offset of 58mm which will cause it to sit further 'out' than my current wheels. How much difference will there be? Would spacers fix/nullify the difference in the fronts? Will the difference in the rears be a bad thing?
