I stopped by the dealer today to pick up touch up paint in my 04 C4s Cab that only has 1500 miles on the odometer. There was a guy looking at a new C4s equipped exactly like mine and I told him I would sell him my car for a couple of grand less than he could by the brand new one, as I really prefer coupes. He went for it and paid me more than I paid for it a few months ago (collateral substitution from PCNA). I am walking away with a $10000 profit. I then went and purchased a new 997 (Seal Grey, Black Leather, NAV, Bose, CD-4, Power Seats, Xenons, Sp Chrono, 19", Heated Seats, Self-dimming mirrors & rain sensor, mats, Sport Steering Wheel). I chose not to get the "S" because I have heard that the PASM has major problems so far and I did not feel the extra power was worth the $11,000 difference (I know it has better brakes as well).

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

When do you get your 997? I think the base one is fine if you spruce up the suspension. Good move! Did the dealer discount it at all?
congrats on the new 997......... but didn't you just recently select the C4S CAB out of the 40th saga you had since you had totally put down the new 997 base model? Sorry, I am just a bit confused on this one. Both are great cars, I would just assume you would have bought the C4S coupe then.
If you don't mind me asking, what is "collateral substitution from PCNA"?
Not to speak for JAWS but in a recent post he talked about the problematic 40th he had (actually went through 2) before PCNA finally decided to give him "collateral sub". Basically allowed him to pick another car (sticker to sticker) regardless of the discount he got when originally purchased the 40th. JAWS, apologize if I missed the mark but that is what I gathered from your previous saga in your original thread.
