Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm curious if anyone else has done this: http://www.mbspeed.com/ For $100, you supposedly get to thrash around a wide variety of Mercedes models on the track, go for rides with some pros, etc. Includes the SL55 and new 2005 SLK. Maybe M-B is trying to poach some of the more performance oriented drivers from BMW. I couldn't pass it up for $100; I'm going tomorrow afternoon.

POST 2Original post

I did something very similar to this at FedEx field in DC (Landover, MD) and it was free by invitation only. TOTAL BLAST!!! Drove every car in the line on the tracks and courses as well as went for a high powered drive in the AMG line at top speed with a pro. I would have paid $100 if they asked.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the follow-up. Sounds like the same deal, but maybe they've thrown in the $100 charge to weed out those not REALLY interested. Should be a good warm-up for the DE I'm doing in a few weeks...

POST 4Original post

i was invited to the mbz "power trip" circus when the came to san diego a few yrs ago. they were launching the ml 55 and took you for some hot laps with a pro-driver. they had a 2nd auto-x set-up for invitees. i told the flag man to allow a lot of distance between me and the guy ahead. i caught him up real fast and was then told afterward i was not welcome to 'try' anymore cars because they don't allow spirited driving (huh??)... it was free, and maybe different from your deal.
