The new issue of EVO magazine (UK published) has a picture of the new 997. Appears to be the real thing- not photoshop version or computer rendered. Seems that headlights will revert to more round look with fog lights on the bumper. Car has a wider stance and an increase in horsepower but no comments about a new engine yet. Not dramatically different but headlamps do stand out.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Interesting EVO noted that. Autoweek, which is generally pretty accurate, claims Porsche might bring out a 996 speedster and then follow in late 05 with a major refresh. I think the 997 needs to be more than just a face lift. Otherwise I'll stick with the 996 and wait for the 998 (which EVO said should come in 2007).
