Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a '99 996 and would like to switch the front seat backs to even the wear and tear. The drivers side is just about worn through the leather in a few sections. Can this be done? Any tips/instructions? Pics? Or maybe someone just wants to come over and do it for me and refinish my wheels in trade for a damn good lunch! Thank you in advance for you help. -Aron

POST 2Original post

Don't know for 996, but I did just that on my 86 and 89 Carreras. Pretty easy too. Those both had release levers on both side of each seat, as does the 996, so maybe can do. todd 99 coupe
