Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

MAF question -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This may or may not be bad MAF...need opinions!! I have an EVOM CAI as well as some other mods and although I never much paid attention to this I'm wondering if it is normal or something needs to be fixed. When i first got the car years ago, someone on this site told me that when you want to accelerate quickly in these cars, you should "squeeze" the pedal down not "mash" it to the floor. When I "squeeze" it down, the speed just builds and builds and it is great. However if I try and "mash" it to the floor (above 3500rpm), it feels like it is "bogging" down.It still accelerates, but slowly. The intake is making a nice sucking sound but I wonder whether the MAF is not picking up the WOT air flow and not compensating with much more fuel as it should. Any thoughts...can you guys "mash" it to the floor and it just starts to sprint? Pete

I think a bad MAF will cause a check engine light or CEL
