Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello all I am a new and happy owner of a 996 C4 Cabriolet, 2000. It is equipped with an original Porsche sport exhaust. Do anyone know how many extra HP it gives, if any! Jakob, (Sweden)

POST 2Original post

I think the generally accepted figure is zero. But, it sounds great!

POST 3Original post

I have seen factory documentation which claimed 2HP and others which claim zero HP. But it does sound nice.

POST 4Original post

Zero hp to the wheels -- but "hundreds" of hp to the ears BTW congrats on your beautiful cab! And welcome to the forum!

POST 5Original post

Let's see some photos.... That one looks like you parked it at work and snapped off a shot on your way in...... Welcome! -Eli

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks all for your reply. I will post some better photos later.

POST 7Original post

I was wondering the same thing.... Thanks for the info.... I just joined the site today and hope that I can learn a lot from you porschefiles.... I am looking at getting a 996 so hopefully I can remove the stigma of selling the car, but not owning them... Tried to put a signature on here but no luck yet. Current Vehicle: 03 M3 SMG--loaded exp. nav.... Hamann spoiler, Eisennman Race Exhaust Vehicle sent to pasture (not the same one with the yellow CGT) 01 Vette 6-speed-coupe, Dark Navy Blue/tan---fun but cheap and well chevy...unrefined would be the PC responce. 99 M3--
