Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Some sorry SOB stole two of my wheel caps while my car was parked at the airport. Does anyone have a couple of extras lying around that they'd like to get rid of?

POST 2Original post

are you referring to the small black plastic covers or something else? If it's the first I have some and I can post to you.... PM me w/your address I don't need them as I've just replaced them w/the Porsche coloured emblem ones... rgds, SM

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the offer but unfortunately they're the ones with the crest.

POST 4Original post

I have the ones with the crest left over. PM me with an offer?

POST 5Original post

Or just upgrade to the aluminum billet ones. They lock.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Lee, you have a PM. What do the aluminum ones look like?

POST 7Original post

Look like: http://www.boothedesign.com/centercaps.html

POST 10Original post

Good thing about HRE wheels are that most of the ricers don't even know what HRE wheels are so they don't care for the centers...... BTW: They are a real bitch to remove from the outside, maybe even impossible.... Don't just upgrade your caps, upgrade the wheels too .... and while you're there, might as well drop that thing to its intended level... Let the mods start.... -Eli

You can also get the 928-style colored crests, which is what I have. They're all metal, and have no hole in them, so you can't just lift it out with a paper clip. You have to remove the wheel to get them out, so they're pretty much theft-proof. You won't find them at a Porsche dealer. I got mine from 928 International. ( www.928intl.com) .

POST 12Original post

The painted plastic caps are a total ripoff, I wish someone would steal mine, if I do it again I'll stick with the regular old plastic caps. The Boothe stuff is awesome.
