Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I noticed the other day after leaving the car ('99 C2 Cab Aero) out in the rain that the passenger side rear foot well became soaked with water. I thought the issue might be related to the soft top. However, since then I've put the hardtop on and assumed the problem wouldn't recur. Wrong! Clearly, some drainage plug in the rear is stopped up. Does anyone know where I might find a diagram of where these plugs are so that I can fix this problem. Or, if anyone knows can instruct me as to how to find them, it would be much appreciated. Many thanks! JDearth

POST 3Original post

I was at an Indy shop last w/e getting an oil filter and chatted with one of the mechanics there. He said that you should always be careful to make sure that those drains are kept clear; otherwise it will flood (fry) the alarm computer and leave you with a no start condition. Sounds like that's your problem. He wasn't real specific though on just where the drains were - you need to open the roof halfway and look down on each side, besides the seat IIRC. I haven't done it yet... but I will shortly. HTH, Michael

JD - this may help. The first diagran is for Coupe and the second is for a Cab.
