Dear Friends: I wanted to share with you a nice book that I read over the Christmas break. It is called the Gold Plated Porsche by Stephan Wilkinson. It is a collection of stories about the person (past editor of Car and Driver) who is re-building a Porsche and bringing it to life while telling some personal life stories. The book was very similar to the book, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, however, it was not as elegant. It did provide an interesting read and an outlook into the Porsche Mystique. p.s. the Underline and Italic buttons are not working! Happy New Year.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I read this book, too and I really enjoyed it.
I have had the oportunity to spend time with Stephan as he is a friend of a friend and also a member of my local PCA. When I last saw him in October he threw me the key and I had a blast driving the famous yellow (gold) car. Beautiful car but the point is Stephan is one class act. One of nicest guys you can meet.

Yes, it's a good book. More about life than about Porsche, but it's almost all interesting, and the author seems a fascinating guy.
I've read it also. I liked it and found it interesting.
