Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any thoughts on putting black seats with silver backs from a 2004 GT3 in a 2000 silver C4 coupe with granite gray interior? The GT3 seats are not the same as the euro GT3 seats that are commonly discussed here. I think they are similar to sports seats, and the backs recline. My main concern is the color difference. Are other seats, such as sport seats, readily available in gray? I don't think the Euro GT3 would work for me, because I need access to the back seat area. My OEM seats are supple leather, and are a bit worn. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Eric

POST 2Original post

They are the standard sport seats. I think they'd look great. I've been very happy with my sport seats with painted (black) backs. The only warning I will offer is that they will get scratched if you're not careful about who/what goes back there.

POST 3Original post

Correct, they are the standard sport seats. I had them in gray in my old 996 C2, so they're out there.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks. It seems that sports seats are fairly uncommon on the second hand market, and these only have 5,000 miles on them. Do you think the black seats would look out of place with my granite gray interior?

POST 5Original post

Black goes with everything dahling. Seriously, I think it would look fine. If you're concerned just get some black floor mats and that should balance things a bit.

POST 6Original post

It'll be fine. I have black seats in my "Natural Leather" brown interior, and it looks good to me
