Went to install LED turn signal bulbs today and noticed a wire "rope" neatly stowed and taped down inside the driver's side rear tail light fixture recess. Turned out it was a"pull" cable for opening the engine lid in an emergency. Only problem is that the engine lid must already be open in order to remove tail lamp fixture to access the pull cable. ?????
There's one upfront for the trunk lid as well, stowed behind the right headlight. Some people have relocated these pulls to other places where they can be more easily accessed if the battery dies. Karl
