Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Does anyone know where to get aluminum, white or silver in color, faced gauges for a '00 C4? I called my local dealer and they tell me the whole unit has to be replaced, that doesn't sound right to me. Has anyone made this modification? If so, can you offer any advice?

www.nrauto.com is one.... there are lots of others. -Dave '00 996C2 '97 M3 '00 A4 1.7TQ '89 M3

POST 3Original post

My Boxster friend has a flaw in one of the clear plastic lenses. Then he put in a white dial kit - looks good. When he took the car in for warranty (oil leak) work he mentioned the lense. Service writer said no, because the cluster had been taken apart. Bunch of BS....

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tool Pants, Where did you friend get the kit? Was it OEM? Thanks!

POST 5Original post

Got mine from Tech Art. They look great, like OEM.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

strshp, Got any photos? Called Techart and they told me 8-10 weeks. Did it take that long for yours? What does this do to the warranty?

POST 7Original post

Don't have photos. The car is in DC and I am in SF so I can't go down to the garage and snap away. The dealer put them on for me as part of the deal when I bought the car. Did nothing to the warranty. I actually bought them from By Design in LA. Good group to deal with. A google search will call up their web site. The one down side of the alum gauges is at dusk, the numbers are not as ledgible as I might like. The numerals on the Boxster S gauges are outlined in black to make them more readable in that light. Hope this helps
