Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

On my 03 C2 with 65K miles, there is an echoing noise coming out of the driver rear quarter panel area that sounds like the highest spin cycle on a wash machine during fast sweeping left hand turns. It is not so loud to be a an obnoxious pending problem, but just loud enough to be mildly concerning. It diminishes in straight line. The faster and stronger the turn, the louder it gets. Sounds are always frustrating because as you are well aware, it sounds like its coming from some clear location, then at different times, it not at all coming from where you thought. Its the type of sound that might suggest a wheel bearing problem but that is just speculation. The car has no leaks at all, knock on wood. Bone dry under the car. Can anyone relate to the sound of this? (so to speak)

POST 2Original post

A sound from any of the wheel areas that is made worse by turning strongly suggests a wheel bearing. Best get this looked into pronto. The risk is the wheel bearing fails catastrophically and this can damage more than just the bearing.
