Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone know of a good write-up for the engine mount replacement procedure? I have the factory 996 C2 manual, but cant find it in there, anyone know where it is? Thanks,

POST 2Original post

Place a jack under the engine and raise it an 2-3 inches to prevent any downward droop of the engine when removing the lower M18 nut. The wheels will probably still be on the ground. Remove the lower nut M18 for the engine carrier. Remove the two upper bolts that hole the mount to the chassis, visible in the engine bay. Install is the opposite of removal, tq specs are 55ft*lbs and 15ft*lbs IIRC. Feel free to IM me if i am online.
