Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Weird request here. I need a good picture of the engine compartment of a 40th Ann 996. I'm trying to install the Evoms airbox and I'm not sure what to do with a small tube that comes out of the current airbox main conduit. It's on the left side of the main tube. Opposite side of the MAF. I've seen other pictures of 996 engine and can't see it on there. Either I have not seem a large and claer enough picture, or the 345 hp kit added a tube not found on the reg version. Unfortunately, my mechanical skills are limited for now to two stroke motocross engine... Thanks. Marc

the tube to the airbox muffler? It gets removed with the airbox.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

..but where does it attached on the other hand. If I lift the current airbox out, that tube (like the MAF sensor) will still be attached somewhere else on the engine right ????
