She leaves me today. On her way to the rough roads of Chicago-land with her new owner. But, I look forward to the day I climb into a GT3. A 996? Perhaps a 997? Who knows, but I will have one soon enough. Rest assured, I won't be leaving anytime soon from this forum. Too many good folks here. To Neil, the new owner...I beg you, please take good care of her. I have treated her well. Please, please do the same.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Tough day for you. I always have admired your ride so I know how you feel. Having sold 3 sports cars that we are all wonderful and watch them drive away it feels as if you have lost a loved one. There was an 18 mo window between my boxster and 996 but it was worth it and yours will be as well. Just keep thinking forward!
Chad best of luck with your search...just remember the good times and I'm sure she's going to a good owner.
Hang in there Chad... very excited for you, cant wait to see the new ride!
A great car is always hard to say good bye to especially when you put the time and care into like you have. Hopefully the new owner will do the same and experience all the great memories you have .... now where's that GT3? Enjoy the search.
Chad, I only get to drive my car once or twice a week in the evenings or the weekend, yet each and every time I do it is such a feeling deep in my gut as to how lucky I am to finally own one of these cars. I think that you feel the same way and what you feel that you had to do as the right decision for you at this time is very noble and I know very tough. When the time is right, and I know that you will succeed sooner rather than later, you will find another P-car and make it your own and share your ideas and mods! I really look forward to that day soon!! All the best, Pete
There is a GT3 with your name on it out there. Stay focused.
Chad, you should have put the stripes on before it shipped out! LOL
very nice Hey the 911 emblem.. anyone got extras in chrome they want to sell me? Nice car.. get a 997 so it's something different
Chad, Hope business is going well for you, looking back, I am a dumbass for not buying your car for the price we could have agreed on, at the time I felt the sunroof delete option was a drawback for me, but later realized that the 996 does'nt have a glass sunroof anyway, and i rarely open it so it's kind of the same thing.. On a side note, thought you might find this interesting, You stated there are only three know sunroof delete cars known, I actually found another one in Washington that was the cover car in Excellence magazine, White, GT3 aero, with carbon fiber fins and splitters, 19" Champions with new rubber and a full list of upgrades done by Champion, granted this car is a 99 but has only 20 622 mls. And the seller will do it for 33K. I wanted this car despite the tear in the drivers side bolster, I was going to do GT3 seats anyway. The white looks so hot, after seeing yours, white went to the top of my list, followed by yellow and then red. The car being located so far away, and from speaking to the owner (Says his parents bought it for his brother as a grad gift after graduating law school, but drives his S4 insted) I would need to fly out and see it in person I didn't want to waste more money if the car did'nt pan out. In the pics it looks mint, with the exception of the small tear in the seat which is odd, because the rest looks like it is in perfect Maybe for someone closer by this could be a great find if its still available.
always look ahead, there are tons of P cars in front of you! J
Chad, best of luck, she was a beauty.

I remember reading the article on that car (still have a copy somewhere, I think). From what I remember it would be a very nice ride.
Chad, I can honestly say I know all too well how you feel! Just keep thinking GT3. Every morning as I am approaching my Accord I am thinking: "G!@#$%^ Da@$%^&* Mot!@$%^& F!^&*ing Sonofa!#$%&* HONDA!"
Sometimes the right decisions are the toughest, just keep focus on the future GT3!
Thanks guys. Picked up the daily driver today. A 2008 VW GTi 4-door. Company is leasing it. My next purchase will be either a fully prepped track car (prefer a Porsche, but BMW will do nicely too) or wait a bit and pick up a GT3. Doing some serious thinking in the next month or two. I should have a decision by fall. Thanks for the support folks. This is why I frequent this place. C.
A GTI rabbit is not a bad trade in at all....those rabbits are rockets!!
wow - she's a beaut! fond memories, I'm sure. Love white
